Can i obtain a motorcycle permit under a suspended drivers license?

i live in ohio and because of a couple stupid mistakes (unpaid speeding tickets that turned to suspensions and caused a driving under suspension) i have a 12 pt suspension on my drivers liscense, but i am being given work privileges.

my question is could i obtain my motorcycle permit to drive my motorcycle for now?

If they are giving you work privileges on driving, that means you are legal to drive to and from work......that's it.

If a store is only two blocks away, and you drive to the store, it better be between your home and your job, if not you just earned your self another ticket.

If you already have your motorcycle license, your good (for work privileges). But getting a new license.........................FORGET IT !!

You could always call in that favor that the person owes you who works at the DMV :)

You will have to ask the judge who suspended your drivers license and if he allows it the court will have to give you some thing to show the deputy registrar that you do have a drivers license and that the judge is allowing you to get the permit with the license being suspended. Normally you would have to show your drivers license to get the permit and they will ask if your license is suspended. You still would be only allowed to drive to and from work. I doubt the judge will do it. Drive like the law is watching you all the time, you'll be a safer driver then you can spend your money on what YOU want to. Good luck.

No because if you are suspended from any type of license other than boating it applies to all.
