Can i open a savings account for my son if I am on food stamps and start putting some money in there for him?

id like to save some money but i dont know if i can if im on food stamps in my senior year of college...

  1. Knowing that they would cut your food stamps if you had the cash in your name, what are you asking......is it okay to lie so that I can keep my welfare stamps?

    Please don't ever be shocked that your own family will lie to you....they are learning from you and what comes around does go around......something about that "we reap what we sow" has merit to it.

    I congratulate for being in your senior year of college, it took hard work. Paying your dues and barely getting by is what will help motivate you to succeed after you graduate.

  2. I don't think you deposit food stamps, so you would have to have cash income from somewhere else and of course you can do whatever you want with that

  3. yes you can put cash in his name as long as you have a SS # for him and it is a custodial account
