My cpu is brand new 2.66ghz and i have around 4 fans inside my case and a 350Watt PSU. I want to know whether i can overclock my cpu to 3.0ghz and still make my computer stable. When its idle, the temp is around 23-28 degrees celcius. Its max temperature is 31C when running games. And my cpu is quad. Help appreciated =P

  1. Get a zalman heatsink/fan on that CPU and some nice thermal paste, and it shouldnt be a problem.  Those new 65 watt CPU's put out very little heat which is why they overclock well.  I've seen that model up to 4 ghz stable.  You might want to upgrade that PSU to around 500 watts though.  Remember to step up your voltage too to maintain stability.

  2. do that but do care of heat. you should use more heat sink and good fans and the environment around cpu should be cool
