  1. this depends where you live! if you live in the USA, and have a clean record, you can have a pistol in MOST areas, but not all. Some cities and towns have strict bans on handguns unless you are military or police. examples are San Francisco, New Yourk City, Chicago, and until a few weeks ago, Washington D.C. (US Supreme Court overturned a decades old rule banning handguns in D.C. for law abiding citizens). Even places that allow handgun carry, each have their own rules and regulations regarding permits, where you can carry, what you can carry (some states like MA restrict high capacity firearms), etc. California, Massachusetts, and New York are three of the strictest states when it comes to gun laws, but there are others too, such as Hawaii.  Some of the most lenient states are, Vermont (no permit required), New Hampshire (Live Free or Die State), and Maine (allows open carry).

I suggest looking up the firearms statutes in your state, and finding out what is necessary to own guns in your area.

  2. Assuming you are in the U.S. you have to be at least 21 years old to buy a registered handgun. You can have it at your house. You can legally carry it if it is in a holster at your side in plain sight without a concealed weapons permit. If you want to have it in your car or purse or hidden at all you need a concealed weapons permit. Good Luck!

  3. To carry a pistol, you must have a concealed handgun license. You must be at least 21 to take the class. The class is very easy and cost only about $10-15.

  4. if you have a clean background  and your living in the United states you have a full right to own a handgun in your own home. it has nothing to do with if you are in a shooting club or not. that dosent restrict you from buying your own personal gun.

  5. From the hunting club reference, sounds like you may be in the UK. Be aware that all English speakers here on Y!A share the same forum, so you will get a lot of answers from the USA.

For the UK, to own a pistol you must go through a series of forms and have significant justification to have one. Start with your local police  Firearms Enquiry Officer (FEO) also known as a Firearms Liaison Officer (FLO).

  6. Where do you live? In Idaho, USA you can own (but not purchase) a handgun at the age of 18. Based on your question you may consider moving to a location where freedom is still legal.

  7. more details, please.

Are you somewhere other than the United States?

No club requirements here for owning any gun...
