  1. Yes, no problem...

  2. Yes you can, but not undercoat over emulsion. Good luck

  3. you ,always put on undercoat first and then emulsion over the top

    it is the  rule.

never put undercoat over emulsion , that is one thing my dad

    taught me,

    .

and i have done more decorating, than one can imagine.

  4. Emulsion is not meant for woodwork.  It is too thin, isn't strong enough, and does't move with the wood.  Any trained decorator will tell you NO., However, up on a picture rail, where is doesn't get knocked or touched, is about the only place you can get away with it.

And contrary to the other answers, you can undercoat over emulsion (providing it hasn'r had ten coats of it).  But the only time this would occur is if someone has mistakenly applied emulsion to woodwork.

  5. Yes, the best way to do it saves cutting in, always undercoat woodwork first then emulsion your walls then finally and carefully gloss the woodwork.

  6. Yes you will have a good base coat so no problem
