  1. Hi there!

Ok, so the postal carrier didn't leave a notice on the door. How silly!

Sometimes, they'll leave a notice on the door saying that they're going to try to redeliver the package. Why he didn't leave it is anyone's guess. Sometimes they get lazy and don't want to leave it, or they don't have a pen, or whatever. If that's the case here, and they're going to attempt a redelivery, you have another shot in getting it signed. Here's what I'd do. I'd put a stickie note on my door saying "Mailman - DO NOT bring package back to post office. Please ring bell for package acceptance" when you're going to be home. They should then ring the bell and you should be good to go.

If not, try going to the post office and explaining your situation. With your ID bearing the same address, they should release the package to you.

    Good luck!

  2. Yes you should be able to pick up the package without any problems. Unless the package has to be signed for by your father in person. I have picked up some friends' stuff at the post office before without any problem. If you have an I.D. that has your address on it, then you should be able to get it.
