Can i play HD DVD on a Xbox 360?

i bought a xbox 360 the other day and noticed that it has a HDMI output, goes this mean i play HD dvds on it?

Sorry but no. Microsoft thought they were gonna win the fomat war (Sony's Blue Ray wasn't even suppost be made, the people behind the whole format thing told Sony to back down but they disobeyed lol)

So they charged a extra 200 bucks for a HD DVD player to plug into your 360. Sorry. But im not sure i you can even get a HD DVD player ow from microsoft. But yo can still play HD Games via the HDMI.
