Can i play a HDVD -9 on a normal DVD player?

There's no such thing as an HDVD-9...  There's a DVD-9 which can be played in all DVD players, then there's HD-DVD which cannot be played without an HD-DVD player

NO, because high defination has a very high capacity cd that even a dvd player cant read and a dvd player cant play blue ray cd's so i guess there should be some special dvd to play only high defination cd's think a play station 3 can play HDVD .
