Can i play for two different AFL teams if they are in different <span title="districts???????????????????">districts????????????????...</span>

I want to play for my school team but i also want to play for my local team and i want to know if i am allowed to???

why would you want to play AFL?

If you receive any match payments, then that team basically is employing you to play with them. But if neither team is paying you any match payments then you should be okay. I imagine at times though you might have to choose one team or the other, if they are both playing on a Saturday arvo, for example.

If your school team plays outside of your district competition, i suspect you can.

However school competitions loathe you to play in other competitions and vice- versa, for fear of injury.

Depending on the standard of either competition, each has a different pathway to league football, (goes like this)...

District club -Local Development squad-  State League Zoned club-  Afl Draft....

or

School Football development program - State League Zoned club-  Afl Draft....

As long as they are not in the same division, it should be ok. If your playing for a much better league then you will need a clearance.

Can&#039;t see why not, I remember playing for my school on Wednesday&#039;s and my District team on the Saturday, depends thou if you go to a private or public school, I know private schools frown on their students playing outside of the school structured competitions and usually these comps play on the weekend anyway, but give it ago.

yeah you shouls be able to play footy for both. Where I live hat&#039;s what everyone does ... mainly cos people dont take our school comp seriously and thats more jus for fun.

So yeah you can play for both.
