Can i play games with other people, through wii?

i have a wireless router n my wii is connected, i was just wondering if i could play games with other people. not when they are in the same room but like through the internet? are there any games that dont and do allow this? and how do i do it?

So far games like Super Smash Bros Brawl and Mario Kart have online gaming

sense your Wii is connected these games will require that you have a Friend code( Which can be found with in the wifi menu of the game)

if you want to play with a certain friend who also has a wii with the same game

but if you want to play with just random other people in the games menu it should say Nintendo Wi-Fi (NWF) through this you can play with random players

you should know if if the game supports wifi by looking at the cover of the box and in the left corner it should have the Nintendo Wi Fi logo

Mario Kart Wii lets you race other people from all around the world. You just go to 1 or 2 player WFC on the game menu. I don't really know of any other games, though.

the ones that u can play have a blue circle on it that says wi-fi. mario kart has it i no.

if the game case has a blue circle with the word Wi-Fi in it on the corner, then you can play it online.

as to how to do it, it's really easy, since your Wii is already connected.

in the main menu of most online compatible games, it should say something like "Wi-Fi" or "Nintendo WFC".  Just click on that.
