Can i play normal X-Box games such as COD or COD2 on my X-Box 360 console?

Ive heard you can play the halo series but not much else is there anything on the boxes i should be looking for ?

  First of all,Call of DUTY 2 was part of a series of games that helped launched the Xbox 360 (another game that came out in Nov.2005 was Perfect Dark Zero).COD was a PC game that never came to the consoles.Anyway to answer the question,you can play xbox games providing that you-a)have a hard drive for the xbox 360 and b) ask at your local gamestop for a list of games that are backwards compatible.

yes u can. but u may need to download somthing on your xbox. dont worry though as u insert the game and try to play it a message will come up sayin something like u will be signed out ov xbl if u dont update now. u click update now and there u go u can play ur xbox games.

yes. i've played a lot of games from xbox on the 360. the differnce is in the frame rates and the way the sprits are read and shown. So like if you choose to pop in marvel vs capcom, you'll be mad dissapointed to see the fighting all broken up.

i play max payne all the time though, love it.
