  2. change your name NOW

  3. Florida and N. Carolina are about the same in temperature as far as summer goes.  They are of course cooler in the winter.  Horses actually do better in colder weather than hot and should acclimate well.

Ck out this site http://www.navi-gator.com/pinehurst/info... when you have time.

    Good luck with your move.

  4. I highly doubt anyone will help you with that user name, you know, kids poke around here sometimes!

  5. I live right on the border of NC/SC on the SC side.  I have several friends who moved up here from florida and brought there horses along with them.  Some horses acclimate well, others don't it just depends on the horse.  Most horses will be fine but if you have a horse that has a history of colic or founder or anything that can be environment or stress induced it is more likely to pop up in the move.  Our summers are much like yours, sometimes even hotter, however our winters are cool and occasionally, very occasionally we get snow.  Spring and fall are almost nonexsistent, not trying to sound like a downer.

There are lots of fun things to do around here and plent of horse related events around.  Feel free to get in touch with me and I can tell you more:)
