Can i plug my laptop into my plasma tv and watch movies?

i have a samsung 42" plasma tv and sony vaio

can i plug the laptop into the plasma tv and watch movies for example, prison break on watchmovies.com

does anyone know if i need a hd cable or exactly what i need or if it is even possible on a plasma

If your plasma screen tv is PC compatible, and your Sony Vaio has a port for connecting a secondary monitor, yes you would be able to.

You would have to set up your display properties to accept a second monitor.

Since I don't know the model number of your tv I can't give you a more specific answer, sorry.
