  1. Sure, when you work on your setting. Definitly dont use a basketball when passing a spiking, that would totally mess up your arms and wrist.

  2. no. a basketball is a lot heavier and it is much more harder.

  3. ouch.

    pain!

  4. it probley would not work as well.... it would be much harder and you probley couldn't bump, set, or spike it very far.. so it is not a very good idea...

    ♥ i love volleyball ♥

  5. i'm sure you could...but i wouldn't because for 1...you would jam your fingers, for 2...it's heavier, and for 3...you could mess up your wrist bumping, and hurt your hand spiking, but go for it if you wanna!

  6. The basketball is larger and heavier than a volleyball, this I guess you know already though. The weight may not be a big problem as it would work to help you strengthen your fingers when practice your sets and possibly your serves. The biggest problem will be the fact that the size of the basketball may cause you to widen your hands which could cause problems when you go back to using a volleyball.

Try it a few times and see how you get along with the basketball. It may be a better training tool than some people realize.

  7. well you could but volleyballs are a lot lighter than basketballs so it would mess you up a lot

  8. YEAH!! If you can consistently serve a volleyball over the net, pass, set ,or hit it good, you can probably do it with a volleyball. It's pretty good for a setter due to the heaviness.

  9. Cheap practice volleyballs - don't cost all that much.  These can be used anywhere outside against any hard surface - like concrete or brick - great for practising against, like spiking practice.

Hey - you can practice with friends too - even better! You don't even need a net...

You can't do that with a basketball. You will only mangle up your hands, etc.

  10. u can practice volleyball doing a lot of this

    in basketball

  11. You'll jam your fingers something fierce, but go ahead...

  12. NO NO NO NO NO...

Basketball is for hoops. They have rigid surface.

Volleyballs are for the nets. Perfect texture, size and components.

Although some are made of different molecules, the texture does not very regardless of the mechieviousent and fertile composure is in each volleyball.

    Again NONONONONONO.

  13. no because basketballs are a lot heavier than volleyballs are. ask your parents to go buy you a volleyball if you dont have one. if you dont have the money for one ask a friend to see if they have one you could borrow

  14. you can practice volleyball using a basketball...ONCE IN A WHILE.

it is still very important to practice it with the volleyball because you might lose your touch because of its weight. you must still play it in basics and standard in able for you to master it.

  15. basketballs are a lot heavier.

  16. no way, it's like using a tennis ball for golf

  17. You can't be serious asking this question.

...either your're joking or never played volleyball before.

Try it for an hour, your arms will get bruised.

  18. yes, you can use basketball to train as a setter...no doubt at all!

  19. well i guess you could. although it may mess up your set. because you are you used to a bigger and heavier ball. it may make your hands go out wider for a set and push to hard. i would just get a volleyball

  20. bad idea.

bballs are a lot bigger/heavier than vballs, so that would mess up your game. and, if you tried to set one of those things, you might injure your hand, wrist or finger.

    Stick w/ a vball! :-)

  21. Practice with a basketball for your set, but I'd suggest getting a real set ball to work with, it is the normal size.
