You can pray to your imaginary friend any time you want. But if you want to get something done, I suggest sleeping at that time. Prayer is useless.

yes its really good if you pray fajr before sunrise, and until sunrise, read quran, i heard you get rewarded.

if the athaan for fajr is 4:30 then you can pray at thst time until the shurooq.  but if the fajr is after 4:30 then you have to wait.

I don't live in Chicago, so I'm not sure about the exact time. As long as you offer it only after the time for Fajr in your city has begun and before sunrise.

Try to offer Fajr before sunrise. Download www.islamicfinder.org  then you will know ur exact time. May Allah be with you. May Allah be with all Muslim Ummah.

I live on the north side of Chicago, I offer Fajr right around then myself ;)  If I get up too early for Fajr even, I'll use it as an opportunity to offer Tahujjed.
