can i pursue an ms in nanotechnology after completing btech in computer science and engineering??wht branch of study will i b able 2 take up in nano tech medical nanotech or makin nano sized chips or sumthin else....??.....if not which is prefferd undergrad course 2 take up ms in nanotech aftr btech??

  1. of course.. nanotechnology lies between the electrical and mechanical engineering branches. You have to find a school that specializes in nanotechnology to be worthwhile. UPenn has an excellent nanotechnology program.

    You should contact an advisor at one of the schools you are interested in and ask for more information and advice on how to apply and what you need to do to be prepared. Good Luck!!

    I looked at the curriculum for typical btech in computer science students and I don't think you will have a problem at all in entering a nanotech research school. I think you have all the necessary education required but if you really want to specialize whether you want to do work on an embedded system, nanotech materials, or something more focused in btech you need to find a research professor who will add you onto their work.

    You may propose your own original work but it won't have much of a chance since you will not be pursuing a PhD. An MS typically doesn't require you to do any original research. Will you be pursuing nanotech in the U.S.?
