yes you can with no real issues in my opinion, as the engine and transmission will be working at higher speeds but technically less strain..

4.10:1 gears are for the rear end final drive, not the transmission. There is no need to do any other modification such as computer tuning. You can buy a set of 4.10:1 gears(ring and pinion) from Ford Racing, Richmond or other manufacturers. 4.10's will give you the really quick response and are great for the 1/4 mile. Higher gears such as 3.08 are great for the highway and to conserve fuel.

yes with no problems just have to tune the computer to the new gears.
