Can i put Ryuk Calico fish in a fish pond?

I know that they get big, i already have one and im planning to get more once my fish pond is ready, can they live in there?

  1. not really they are not good pond fish, they are much more slower than the typical pond fish (koi, comets) and they can hurt their big round tummy on pond decor.


  2. Ryukin are actually one of the tougher varieties of fancy goldfish.  Most goldfish were actually bred to look nice in ponds when viewed from above. And basically, any precautions you'd use on your fish tank, you'd use in a fish pond. (a fish pond is just a bigger fish tank that happens to be outside and usually isn't made out of glass...) I just wouldn't mix him with Koi or Comet goldfish (he could starve to death due to not being quite as fast as them)

  3. Ryukin? yes they can live in fish pond.

  4. Sure, as long as your pond is deep enough for it.
