Can i put a chainguide on a bike without one?

Sure,

Does your frame have the ISCG mounts? This would be three tabs welded on the bottom bracket shell?

If not, they sell adapters that will mount behind the drive side botton bracket cup. This will give you the mounts for a guide.

I recommend E13, Call them they will tell you exactly what you need.
