  1. Get one from a Chevy Prizm or Geo Prizm, since it's the same car mechanically.

Your mechanic will never know the difference...

  2. The cost of a new small block would be too much to justify putting it in a corolla.....

but it is possible depending on how many cubic inches the new engine is, you need to make sure it is big enough to fit in the engine bay.

Also, you will need new wiring in the car, new engine mounts, and a new transmission. Believe me, just either buy a new car, or a new toyota corolla engine.

  3. You could, but why?  The amount of work to make it safe would be horrendous. Call a wrecker an put another stock engine in it.

  4. don;t waste your money ,take it to the dump

  5. or heres something better. get a new toyota. you know since chevy sucks and toyotas are amazing cars

  6. are you serious? is this some kind of joke? why don't you just get a new or used chevy with a few thousand miles?

putting a new chevy engine would not be worth putting into an old corolla not a chance

  7. Unless I'm mistaken the 89 Corolla was front wheel drive. Don't see any way you could make a small block work with it. Hack out the entire drivetrain and suspension and stick it on a S10 frame with a small block.

  8. You can do anything if you have the time, money and patience.
