  1. seems a bit small for an adult but a babie would be ok

my crestie is in an exo terra 16x16x24 tall viv they can "survive" in smaller vivs but it causes stress and other health issues

  2. A ten gallon tank will be fine for a crested gecko while its in its juvenile/sub-adult stage. juvenile: 6 - 15grams/sub-adult: 15 -30grams...

but once it reaches adult hood (35 - 45 grams), your crested gecko should be placed in a 20 gallon. the tank should be taller than it is wide with a few branches and some hiding places (leaves/foliage) in wich they will curl up in and sleep during the day.

    ACCEPTABLE PLANTS:

    1) Ficus Benjamina

of course fake plants will do just as well :) also anything mossy should be avoided due to the simple fact that accidental ingestion may occure while the geckos are hunting their crickets (if you choose to feed insects that is)

The enclosure shouldnt be filled to the gill with plants and branches because then the crested gecko will not have room to jump being as they are semi arborial and they need this "leaping" exercise so that they do not develop FTS (floppy tail syndrome) common in crested geckos due to not enough room in their enclosure to jump/leap around.

    these are all acceptable enclosures:

this one is a little bit too much foliage for one gecko:

UV bulbs arnt needed if you are providing your crested gecko with calcium and multivitamins.

I'd suggest getting the book called "Rhacodactylus The Complete Guide to their Selection and Care" by Philippe de Vosjoli, Frank Fask, and Allen Repashy. Everything a beginner needs to know about properly taking care of their crested gecko is in that book :) its often times mentioned as "The Rhac Bible" lol but seriously its got loads of info! you can find it at your local exotic pet shop or at this link...

    GOOD LUCK!

  3. yeah. You should be fine.

  4. As long as you have the right type of uvb light you should be fine.

  5. It would be safer to clean it really good before putting a new lizard in it
