Can i put a garden snake in the tank with my green iguana for 1 day?

I wouldn't. The iguana would get stressed and so would the snake. Put the snake in a tupperware with holes punched in the lid for the night if that's what it takes, don't put them together. Especially if your garden snake is wild caught, it can transmit parasites and other illnesses to your iguana very easily.

Are you taking the garden snake directly from outside? In so, as I'm sure you know, it could always carry some sort of parasite or disese you can't see...

And if not the iguana may still eat it.

it should be alright but one of them might get sick or they might fight or try to eat one another.

thats an awful lot of meat for an iguana, because the iguana WILL eat the snake, theyre a whole lot bigger
