Can i put a new-er sat nav disc in

i have a 2002 audi a6 c5 model with sat nav plus in,it does not give me street level mapping ie side road names,now what i want to know is that if i get anothe new-er disc say 2008 will the sat nav take it and give me street level mapping

Ask your Audi dealer, if it is possible they will be able to supply it for you.
