  1. Yeah man....Brewers performance has all your a833 parts to do the conversion...They have rebuilt trannys and all the little parts like z bars for you...Check,em out!!!www.brewersperformance.com

  2. Yes, You need clutch, pressure plate, throw out bearing, and pilot shaft bushing if yours takes it.  You will also need the shifter and clutch/brake pedal assembly out of an a-body.  If mounted correctly then you should be able to use your stock driveshaft if it is out of a later 60's car. Is the car that you are putting it in now an Automatic car?  If so, the neutral safety/back up light switch on you duster has 3 wires running to it and the transmission you are putting in only has two wires.  I forget which two wires you need though.  I can find out and let you know if you want me to.  Another concern is the speedometer cable hookup, on the 60's transmission the cable screwed on to the piece going into the transmission.  On later cars, the whole unit came out.  I think that you can just swap that piece, but I would have to check that out also.  Good Luck and let me know what I can do to help out more if needed or just let me know how it turns out.  Good Luck again.

  3. The answer is yes. the 833 new process transmission will fit big and small block engines through and including the current generation of v8s. to install in a 74 duster you will want the 23 spline unit (the input shaft on transmission will have 23 splines this is the standard 833. the hemi 833 has 18 spline input shaft) be sure that transmission is for an A Body, to insure tail shaft is proper length and shifter will be in the right place. any small block bell housing will fit, even the  833 overdrive unit of the late seventies and eightys  will work. there is a step by step process for this swap in the tech archives of moparts.com good luck
