Can i put an Xbox 360 Hard Drive 20 gb on a xbox 360 ARCADE?

Yes, because the 20gb hard drive will fit on the top of the xbox, while the 512 Mb is just a memory card that fits near the disc loader. You can have both in the xbox at the same time to transfer information between both if you wanted to also.

Yes you can upgrade at any time.  See if you can find a used one, hard drives last a long time.
