  1. Sure you can. But you run the risk of burning up your wiring! I would not do it.


  2. Why would you want to put a battery larger than 12 volt in a system designed for 12 volts?  If you just need a larger amp-hour battery and it will physically fit is not likely to damage any wiring.

  3. If your question is about voltage, no you can't. If it was about the rating of the battery, then yes you can. The generator or alternator will sense the voltage in the battery and charge it as required.

  4. Yes you can but not more than around sixteen volts. But its only going to work for a short time before your starter burns up or your silenoid fails. I have the same problem with my mower. it will crank up cold just fine but when it heats up and i try to restart it. It feels like there is not enough power to turn it over. I changed the starter and the battery and still have the same problem.
