Or do i have to pull the staples and and peel off the tape before putting them in ? (These are heavy duty staples, hard to take out). And what about plastic/glass drink bottles with paper stuck around them?

  1. If your really into recycling then you should understand that it does take up some of your time,

always try and separate the materials into their categories such as paper, plastic and when it comes to metal objects try and separate those into their type like mild steel, copper, st steel, aluminium etc they are priced differently at the scrap yard and you will get the lowest priced item if they are mixed, Glass should be seperate into there colour like clear, brown, green etc,

Have fun you can earn really good spare cash from spending a little time on this and woh!you get paid to look after the environment.

  2. The ideal thing would be to separate and remove unlike materials, however this is usually done at the manufacturing facility that uses these recycled materials. Nearly every raw material has to go through a cleansing process to produce the desired product. Fortunately most of the time these by-products of the cleansing process are used elsewhere and not much is wasted.

  3. Most recycling centers will want you to remove the plastic and metal from the cardboard prior to recycling.

"Preparation: Remove all plastic liners and inserts, strapping, staples and wrapping. Flatten boxes."

  4. no, it is not necessary to remove all the tape from the boxes, all the staples  or any   of the paper from the bottles.

  5. Yes, these items get filtered out when the paper is pulped and made into new paper.
