Can i put cigarettes in my airplane lugage?

well im going on a trip and have a couple unopened packs of cigarettes and i was wondering if i can put then in my lugage and not just keeep them in my bag on the plane ride

Couple packs doesn't matter, just don't bring 15 cartons.

there are usually limits on how much you're allowed to bring into the country, so depending on your destination, it'd probably be a good idea to check that. I doubt small amounts would be a problem though, just don't bring like 10-20 packs. Mind you, it might be cheaper to buy them locally depending on where you're going!
