  1. I'm not sure what you mean by cage??  Are you planning on keeping them in a pen?  If you have a couple of very young bottle babies, you can keep them in a large dog crate.  I've used extra large dog crates for baby pens (I do remove the top to make it easier to care for the animals.  I don't know if that's going to be big enough for your animals, though.  You want to give them enough room so they don't have to lie down in their own mess.

Kids and lambs raised together usually bond - my babydoll ram was penned and raised with a pygmy wether and the two of them are still the best of friends.  I maintain a mixed herd/flock, and as long as it's not breeding season, the animals get along just fine.  Keep youngsters or pregnant does/ewes separate from the rest of the flock as their due date gets close to prevent injuries.

Even if you are keeping a baby pen, make sure that both of the animals have room to exercise and have some outside play time.  Both develop better when given some room.  And they're hysterical when they start running and playing.

You will need to separate them if you are deworming or drenching, as the medications used are different for each breed.  And young lambs are very prone to coccidiosis, which can transfer to your goat kid (and young kids can get very sick from it).  Make sure you treat for both, as well as get their CDTs.

Also, when the young start on solid foods, your goat will need copper in it's diet, but copper is toxic to sheep.  You may need to feed separately as they get older.

  2. I THINK they get along ok, goats can be kind of mean sometimes, but I doubt if they would attack the lambs. As long as the goat was busy munching on something, he probably wouldnt pay much attention to the lambs.

  3. if they are not aggressive than yea u could..

  4. Yes, you can keep goats and sheep together. But not in a little cage. ;-)
