I don't plan on prog scanning because i know it doesnt support it but would it work still interlaced through the selector? If it makes a difference the selector is a pelican hd system selector

  1. I have the pelican system selector and it will not down/up convert any signals. That means any component connection will only output from the component out and any s-video connection will only go to the s-video outputs on the selector.

  2. Why would you downgrade the signal from component to s video?  Just use the basic composite wires if your using s video to feed the tv. Also that unit doesnt convert signals just passes them, so you need to use the same wires going in as you do going out so if you use a component to the unit then you need component out same with s video or composite.
