he was trying to escape from his playpen i guess - it has mesh sides, and he kept face planting himself into the side of it. then he decided it would be fun to rub his face on it and l**k the sides. he was havin a ball - but i moved him away from the side. apparently not soon enough - he scraped up his nose pretty bad. it doesn't seem to bother him unless he hits it, and it bleeds a little, even then he only gets concerned looking - no crying or anything. but i still feel like i need to do something about it - is neosporin okay? or is there baby stuff for that???

  1. Yes, I put it on my baby when he was younger. If you are breastfeeding you could even put a few drops of that on there and it would be even better than neosporin. But yes I used it on my baby when he was about 7 months old. I accidentally scraped his belly once and used it. Also when he was about 4 months I used a little on his face from where he scratched himself pretty badly. and now you can't even tell he has a scar unless you know what you are looking for!

  2. i dont think that would be a problem... and if he lets you try to cover it with a band-aid even if its just for a little while it will do something

  3. yes its okay

  4. if u are worried about the medicine in the ointment then u can use Vaseline works just as good and safer my 3 1/2 yr old son cant have neosporin so thats y i know

  5. When my daughter was just a few weeks old the first time i was cutting her nails and I cut the tip of her finger. I cleaned the cut put neosorprin on, and bandaged it. She was completely fine after that. So i think he will be okay if you use it.

  6. Aww.. Poor baby!

Neosporin should be fine, just make sure you get some of those little round band aids to put it over it. that way he can't rub it off.

and please do it now, so it doesn't get infected.
