  1. No, it's the wrong consistency. Also the oil may have a low burning temp (the gear box, esp. on a YZ 125 can get very hot).

  2. no..

  3. Normal Oil,,as in regular Motor Oil?

    Actually,that's what Yamaha Recommends.

    Since the early 1960's.

Motor oil is NOT made for Gearboxes,,,it never has been.

Near Half a Century of POOR-Lubrication related failures have come to be accepted as NORMAL Wear & Tear.

Lots more fun for most people to imagine being a Hella Rider after trashing a gearbox/clutch prematurely,,,than to realize they have been using an inapropriate type of oil .

Use either Type F Automatic Transmission Fluid,,

    or,

BelRay Gear Saver 75w Transmission Oil.

Before You get into Hi Gear after 1st changeover to Correct  Oil,,

You'll wonder why nobody every told you about that before.

You'd be wise to use BelRay premix oil for your  fuel mix also.

  4. no

  5. ALWAYS use the recommended oil.  ALWAYS.   ARE YOU RECEIVING ME? ALWAYS!
