This may sound like a silly question but we just put in a salt water pool and after buying the salt to put in it, we noticed that the brand name that sold the pool salt was the same name that we used as table salt. i don't know if it would be cheaper to do this but is table salt the same as the stuff i put in my pool? just curious.

  1. even though it got he same name it doesnt mean its the same stuff in it

    for example

galaxy the chocolat same name for other chocolat but yet they arent the same

    same with salt

and no u can not use the normal salt

cz its a pool not a sea even the sea has his salt different from table salt

so no do not use it

stick with the normal pool water salt things

  2. No, here are some guidelines. Salt should be at least 99.8% pure NaCl, have no anticaking agents, and should be evaporatd, granulated, food quality, non iodized salt. DO NOT use calcium chloride or rock salt.

  3. it sounds like it would clog your pool.
