Can i put pegs on my dirt bmx bike?

I have a dirt bmx bike and i like to take it into the skate park so i have put pegs on it and im not sure if its a bad idea because the bike not be strong enough since it was made for dirt and not park

its not about its use, its just about 2 bolts for the strength..

the way it latches on is on the axle for each wheel. if you look, your wheel connects to the frame or fork with a long bolt, smooth on the middle and threaded on the end.. the smooth part is for the hub, and the threads are for bolts or pegs. if the bolt is long enough to fit the bolt on.. as well as a bit leftover then you can fit them on.. you do it by taking the bolts off, sliding a peg on the axle, then puttin ghte bolt on through the peg (you need a socket wrench/extender)
