i have 2 percula clown fish paired up. it took a while for the female to accept the male, but i think they are getting along now. the male swims around the tank, while the female stays in the anemone. at night they both sleep in the anemone.

However i noticed what looks like the male's slime coat was damaged during the time the female was getting used to him and *love biting* him. i want to quarantine him and give him some stress coat, but i don't know how the female would take it? should i quarantine both of them and the anemone? i have a 5 gallon tank for a quarantine tank.

  1. is it possible to treat the actual aquarium that they are already in? if you move your male it will likely stress him even more which is bad bad bad. if you stress coat the entire large tank... he would be less stressed AND it's not going to hurt anyone esle to do so. If it were mine I would just treat the larger tank. good luck!
