  1. What the water treatments like that do is remove any residual chlorine from your tap water.

How important they are depends on YOUR tap water quality. I dont use them myself, but some people Must use them because their tap water is pretty toxic.

If your fish are healthy, there is no need to dose your tank. But maybe you should use it on the new tap water when you do water chances. It will do no harm, and may save your fish stress if there is chlorine in your tap water.

  2. ys it better to do so.

but when you do it dont change all of the water change 25% of the water and then add 25% of the new water with tap safe to the tank this way the chemistry level of your tank slowy adjusts and will not shock the fish

if you change all of the water with tap safe in and put the fish back into the tank there is a high chance of it getting sick and very stressed

    good luck hope this helps

  3. Yes that is the point of it,  as soon as you put in tap water you should put in the tap safe as it removes the chlorine which is harmful to fish.

Every time you do a water change you put in the tap safe ( make sure you use the correct dosage which can be found under the directions of use)

I hope you have not got any fish in the tank yet as they are probably going to die and i wouldn't get any fish for at least a week after adding in the tap safe.

Once that week is over you need to test the water so either buy a test kit or take a sample of the tank water up to your local pet store and they should test your water for free and tell you what you can do next

    PLEASE NOTE!!!

Don't buy fish until the water quality is stable for fish to live in

    hope this helps
