Can i put video longer than 120min on dvd+r?

will it fit on a 120 min dvd+r,i mean the size of the video is a lot smaller than 4.7gb and i want it to have good quality

I have a Samsung DVD-R Recorder that will put up to 8 hours on a single layer disk, but it only plays back on that player.
