Can i re-join the royal navy 4 years after being released TU

If yes how soon will i be back in and can i apply for a different trade to before?

  1. Don't know how long it will take, but could go back into the branch you left or join in a new one.

    My first stint was twelve years before the second one and I had none of my service docs because they all got cooked in a house fire.

    However; like me I'm pretty sure you can still remember your ID number. That with your name and leaving rate sent to the address another answerer has provided will get your service confirmed and unless you were a naughty boy they'll probably be delighted to have you back.

    My first join was in 1989, as a Writer... trade training I never actually made it to because I was an immature sprog and while I did ok at the training all I actually wanted to do was go home.

    Second stint was from 2001 as a Comms rate then Seaman Spec. Better by far than paper shuffling and listening to pay complaints.

    You'll get the best info straight from the horses mouth at your recruitment office anyway.
