Landing at Glasgow international airport at 07:10am and want to catch a train at Queen Street Station at 08:30am. can i make it? if so, how? the 'glasgow airport link' (line 905) won't get me there on time, already checked.

will the 'glasgow flyer' get me there on time?

can a taxi do it? if yes, how much should a taxi cost?

thank you for any suggestion, bless you

  1. A  taxi is your best option, by the time

you get your baggage it'll be 7.40.

Its a 15 min, taxi ride at that time, costing about

    £16.00

  2. I very much doubt it. The plane may land at 7:10, but you'll be lucky to be walking out the airport building by 8:00, and that's if it's on time. Then there's a 10 mile journey on the busiest section of the M8 at rush-hour, not to mention the fact that Queen St station is right in the middle of the city. A taxi MAY manage it if you're lucky, probably costing £15-£20, but for hassle-free travel, I'd investigate getting a later train if possible.

  3. No chance it takes about a hour to get through customs then you need to get into glasgow which at  that time it is nearly impossible to do.
