Can i reactivate a deactivated directv access card to replace a lost active access card?

i have directv and my kids pulled the access card and lost it, but i have a old card from a old reciever, will directv reacivate that card for me

  1. It's possible, if the card isn't expired and it's one that has been on the same account before. And if the CSR you speak with has a supervisor that okays it first (sometimes they will and sometimes they won't).

    It's actually a fairly easy thing to do, it's just that DirecTV prefers customers to have one card per receiver.


  2. Depends, if the card can be unmarried from the other receiver,..

    You will need to call DTV too see if it will be possible, they are the only ones that can say yes or no.

  3. It depends on the card.  The P5 card replaced the old cards about 2 years ago to fend off p****y and the old card is no longer supported by the stream.  Even if it is a valid card it will still have to be activated.
