Can i recycle my old shoes?

i wanna know if my shoes are recyclable because my mom wants to throw them out since there so worn up and nobody would ever buy them in a yard sale.if they are recyclable know any place where i should go or do i just put em in the recycling bin?i wanna save mother earth one lil step at a time. i think im the only one in my family trying to do that lol

If you look up Nike, sometimes they accept shoe donations. It is possible for them to turn used shoes of any kind into playground equipment. I recommend it!

For gym shoes there is a program called reuse a shoe by nike. Google it and you will find your nearest donation facility.
