Hi,

Car/truck batteries have a value around £200/ton, you can collect them up and weigh them in in bulk ... some of your local scrap metal dealers will then pay you for your haul.... They will seperate the valuable/recycleable contents for re-use........ Hope this helps....

Car batteries can be sold to scrap metal dealers for the lead in them. Other batteries have no cash value that I am aware of.

yes you can. I dont know where you are from, but locally on the Gulf Coast in Texas a battery center down here will pay you $4.50 per battery

What I've seen of recycling household batteries (AA, AAA, etc.) didn't offer any cash compensation. You usually have to mail them in somewhere, and the cost was all on the sender. The point is to keep the poisonous chemicals of the batteries out of landfills rather than to make money for anyone.
