Can i reduce my oil bill by using space heaters?

I want to reduce my oil bill by using space heaters, but I'm not sure if it will just shoot my electric bill up.

Yes, your electric bill will go up more than the cost of the oil saved if you try to heat the house with little electric jobs.  BUT -- the thing here is that you can use electric space heating only in the area where you are.  This way, most of the house can be pretty cold, but your office or kitchen can be cozy.  This does save money.
