  1. You need a license. Its a specialists job and the damage you would do to you lungs without the specialist training and equipment would be devastating and irreversible.

NOT TO MENTION asbestos needs to be disposed of in a manner that is environmentally sound. You would be damaging people around you by not doing so- like your family and friends as you would have asbestos particles all over you, and neighbours may be affected with asbestos carried on the air.

    Asbestos is LETHAL!

DO NOT attempt to do it yourself.

  2. You need to hire a specialist who has a licence.

  3. Dave P is right!  Don't mess with it, that's something that has to be handled by professionals.

  4. no you need a specialist fim to remove it .

  5. why would you even want to? Asbestos dust is a known killer, and its a long, slow and very unpleasant death by all accounts.

Anyway there is also a legal obligation to report the stuff and have it removed professionally. Without this you would be putting yourself and others (from airborne particles) at risk.

  6. No you can´t you need to inform either your council or a company that is licenced to handle and dispose of asbestos

  7. Yes you can, Where you take it is the problem.

I had a timber framed shed, clad in asbestos,

i hired the special skip ,which when it turned up was just a skip painted yellow.

try to remove sheets doing minimal damage to sheet , load skip .Job done.

There are different types of asbestos
