  1. Don't ask here.  Ask a Phillipine Embassy if you can and how you do it.  But why would you want to?!  Dual citizenship is almost always a good thing.

Oh, and for the person that said you already had renoucned it, no: Just because you said you renounced it during a citizenship ceremony doesn't mean you have: the other country may not recognise verbal renouncment, and *they're* the ones that get to decide, not the US.  h**l, some countries simply don't allow you to ever renounce it - eg. New Zealand and Australia; once you've got it you've got it for life and nothing sort of an Order in State from the Governor General can strip it away.

  2. You can, but why should you have to?  US law -- largely due to the number of Usians holding Israeli citizenship -- has long turned a blind eye on a second nationality.

  3. first ask yourself this and find out via the us state dept site too at www.state.gov or www.travel.state.gov for both nations.

the us often does not recognzie dual citizenship you can call and ask them or the state dept.  second, does the philipines    now recognize you   since you are a citizen of another nation? the travel.state site has info like that there.

    good luck!

  4. Actually if you became a naturalized citizen then you already did,Remember the oath and the questions under oath before swearing in?

  5. In order to renounce your citizenship, you will have to renounce it at an embassy or consulate of the nation you wish to end your citizenship with. This must done overseas or outside of such country (in your case the Philippines) and must the official renunciation must be done in front of an authorized consular representative.

Many nations do allow dual citizenship, but many don't. The U.S. allows their citizens/nationals to hold multiple citizenships. They don't support it, yet they won't challenge it if one was to obtain another nationality.

  6. u can just send ur passport back with a letter to renounce it. not sure why u would want to the more u have the better. t

  7. Dual citizenship is possible for a number of countries.  Up until recently Australians forefeited their Australian citizenship if they became a naturalised citizen of another country - I am happy to say that this has now changed.

Before relinguishing your citizenship from your first country look into what you will be giving up when you do.
