MMC is correct, the answer is no.   You can not use section 8 and rent to anyone who is related to you in any way.    It is considered welfare fraud.

The Housing Authorities not allow the section 8 tenant rent from their relative otherwise they consider the tenant is getting double housing assistance and disqualify them.

The reason I know it because I have three section 8 tenants and the housing inspector had asked me if they're my relative and he said it's not allowed if we're related to each other.
