Can i restore my computer virus free if i make use of restore at earlier date ?

i have malware in my system and my anti adware and anti spyware scanning has not helped.can i restore my system to earlier date and be free from all this stuffs .or do i have any other option here .?

Use Kaspersky Internet Security 2009 and Ad-Aware 2008...

They will find it and block it...

But you better search the error on google and try advanced steps...

i doubt it mate

viruses tend to replicate themselves all sorts of places in your hard drive that make it very hard to find

i suggest creating a set of rescue disks and running them at startup

NO!!!! Don't do that. That is the worst possible thing that you can do. If you do that, the infections then will be stored to the restore points, making it very difficult to remove. Anytime there is an infection system restore is to be turned off until infection has been removed.

Just think about if you could do that, then why does protection software exists? The reason it exists is because using system restore is not to deal with virus and other infections. It is to deal with non infection issues, like if you deleted a program and you didn;t mean to. That type of thing.

If you have spyware, download spybot.

Try a online virus scan here are some address to try Safety.Live.com...TrendMicro.com.next get some protection Comodo.com is offering a complete security suite free and yes they can be trusted if you want to do it yourself I recommend Avira.com along with Safer-Networking.org(spybot search&destory) or SpywareBlaster from majorgeeks.com or Lavasoft.com...MalwareBytes.org is another good one to consider althrough the last two don't offer free protection some even recommend two anti-spyware scanners just to be on the safe side the other bit of advice i have to offer is external firewalls they hardwire to the machine with usb or firewire hook up now thats cutting edge tech.Remember paid is usally better than free however since Comodo.com kind offer that may not be the case anymore
