Can i return a working xbox 360 game to wal-mart with the reciept?

They will only let you exchange it for the exact same title. No refunds.  No stores take new games back after they have been opened unless you are exchanging it because it is defective. Your best bet is taking it to a used game store like EB (Gamestop) and trading it for credit or having them pay cash, you will get a miniscule amount for it, but trade gets you more money, or credits you towards other games.
