Can i run 2 different versions of flash player on my computer?

Question

im having to run flash player 8 to use features on a petsite (on Firefox) and was wondering if it was possible to run flash player 9 on say... IE or safari without having to upgrade it on FF ? (apparently i need 9 for everything else )

On IE yes, on Safari nope. The reason is that Flash setup files are different for IE & Non-IE Browsers for Windows. You can go to www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer on IE, get the latest flashplayer for IE & stay on Flashplayer 8 on Safari & FF..
