Can i run a half marathon in six weeks time?

i did a 10k run back in the first week of June (my first run) i completed it. but then i reverted back to weights. i have never done a HM and have not really been running since the 10k. Time is not an issue just want to finish.

  2. Six weeks time is plenty of time to WALK a marathon.  While you are at it hike and backpack it too in that time.

  3. Yeah thats a good amount of time.If you are physically fit you can pretty much bs your way through a half if your goal is just to finish.

    and you will be very sore after the race.

    Stick to the 5k-10k distance it will give you some experience for the longer distance. You posting suggest that you in ms or hs.  If your doing xc right now do not do it it will take a way for the season. At least wait until after xc is done Iate Nov.This will give you a better base if you are doing xc.  

    It will take you a longer time to fully recover from 13.1 mile.This is twice the 10k distance ,plus another 1000 metes (.62miles to the finish line). Take your 10k pr and multiply it by 2 and add about 5-7 minutes. That will give you a ball park idea of what time you will be ale to run , Thiassumesma that there are no hills in the course and thweatherer is cool.
